From here you can see two of the world's top 10 mountains, Dhaulagiri (8167m, 7th) to the far left and Annapurna 1 (8091m, 10th) just about in the middle. Also several 7000m peaks including Tukuche, Nilgiri, Annapurna South, Macchupuchare (okay, it's 6993m), and Annapurna II
Tried to capture the exposure of the trail, and the reason we weren't happy to see more ice and snow. This drops about 2000 feet to the river below.
Except there were none, certainly no fresh ones. The Ice Lake sign is about 5 feet tall. The snow became very difficult after this point.
